Fencing Team and Club

Since its initiation in 2016, the size of the Fencing Team and Club has grown to over 40 girls from Primary 1 to 6. The members participated in regular practice and different invitational competitions so as to broaden their horizon towards fencing.
In 2018, together with members from the Senior School Fencing Team, our little fencers were honoured to train with Miss Valentina Vezzali, the prestigious Italian Olympic fencer who won six Olympic championships in foil competitions.
With the staunch support from teachers, coaches and parents, the DGJS Fencing Team garnered encouraging results with Foil Team C and Foil Team B achieving the fourth place and merit award respectively in the All HK Inter-primary Schools Fencing Competition 2018-2019. Ever since then, our Fencing Team and Club members have been proactively joining various local or overseas fencing competitions to enrich their fencing experience.
