Drama Clubs

On 20th and 21st May 2019, the Junior Classics and Primary 2 – 3 Drama Clubs staged spectacular performances of The Maid and the Movie Star – a modern adaptation of “The Prince and the Pauper” – and Snow White respectively. The plays were a culmination of the girls’ year-long drama training and rehearsals.

The 2019 – 2020 cohort initially prepared for the performances of Cindy – A Modern Cinderella Story and Noah and the Ark, which were unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, the girls had plenty of opportunities to participate in activities that helped them develop an interest and appreciation for theatre arts.

This year, although meetings were conducted via Zoom due to social distancing restrictions, our girls collaborated to write a script for an original adventure story and an adapted version of The Tale of Robin Hood. We hope that the plays can still be performed online if they cannot be staged in school at the end of the year!
