1)

In the 2014 Hong Kong & Macau Mathematical Olympiad Open Contest cum The Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Open Contest Trial organized by the Hong Kong Mathematical Olympiad Association, the Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Union and the Study Hard Education Centre, the following students were awarded First Grade Honour:

In the 2014 “Hua Xia Cup” National Mathematical Olympiad Competition, organized by the China Mathematics Education Research Association, the Hong Kong Mathematical Olympiad Association, the Hua Xia Cup Organizing Committee and the Educational mechanism Research Sub-Commission of Chinese Society of Education, the following students were awarded First Grade Honour.

In the 39th Hong Kong Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions, Hong Kong Primary Mathematics Contest 2014, organized by Po Leung Kuk and subsidized by the Home Affairs Department, Ng Sze Mai (Pr. 6) and Annie Lee (Pr. 6) were awarded the Second Grade Honour.

In the 1st Annual Kowloon West Area Inter-Primary Schools Mathematics Competition 2013-2014 organized by Newman Catholic College, Nam Wah Catholic Secondary School and Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Secondary School, the following girls were awarded the Gold Award:
Ng Sze Mai (Pr. 6) and Athena Chu (Pr. 5)

In the 9th Hong Kong Primary Schools Mathematics Trail Competition 2014 organized by Pui Ching Academy, our school was the 1st runner-up. The team received a $200 coupon. Team members are Wong Wing Lam (Pr. 6), Tsui Wing Yuen (Pr. 6), Elizabeth Lu (Pr. 6) and Athena Chu (Pr. 5).

The Inter-School SUPER 24 Competition, organized by the Shun Tak Fraternal Association Seaward Woo College:

A Certificate of Appreciation was also presented to Diocesan Girls’ Junior School for participating in the competition.

In the 2013-2014 Hong Kong Joint Primary School Mathematics Competition organized by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University,
Ng Sze Mai of Pr. 6 and Ip Tsz Sum of Pr. 6 were awarded Champion in the Creative Problem Solving Section.
Andreana Chan of Pr. 6 and Athena Chu of Pr. 5 were awarded 3rd runner-up.

In the “World Class Tests Spring 2013”, organized by the University of Hong Kong Science and Technology and Trumptect (Hong Kong) Ltd., Diocesan Girls’ Junior School achieved the “Most Outstanding Group Performance in Mathematics (Aged 8-11)”, and the “Most Outstanding Group Performance in Problem Solving (Aged 8-11)”.

In the Hong Kong Technology Education Promotion Scheme organized by Lingnan Dr. Chung Wing Kwong Memorial Secondary School, 19 students and their families from our school participated in the parent-child robotics workshop on 24th November, 2013. Our girls had a chance to make and learn about miniature windmill driven boats to engage in a 3m-racing competition.
In the competition, Tong Tin Wai (Pr. 5) and Sze Wan Yi (Pr. 5) were awarded merit prizes in the parent-child primary student section. Both students and their families received trophies for their efforts.

Hong Kong Park Green Hunt 2013, orgainzed by Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Hong Kong Bird Watching Soceity:
Diocesan Girls Junior School – The “Best Hat Design” Award and First Runner-up

12)In the “16th Youth Science & Technology Innovation Competition”, Ng Hoi Yin and Hayley Chan of Pr. 4 reached the Final round and were awarded a Merit award for their research project on difference in taste in hot and cold lemon tea among 200 entries.
